Amnesty International informs people of the human rights, investigates severe violations of human rights and campaigns against them.

Citizens’ Global Platform In the Citizens’ Global Platform (CGP), a critical look is taken towards globalisation and its effects on citizens and the environment in the South as well as in the North. The platform is a joint project of the Tanzanian and Finnish NGOs that aims to involve new actors over national borders and to promote cooperation between Northern and Southern civil societies in order to find new collective solutions.

Civil Society Conflict Prevention Network (KATU) Civil Society Conflict Prevention Network is a joint conflict prevention network of Finnish NGOs. Civil Society Conflict Prevention Network is an open network which joins people who come from organisations working with international issues or development cooperation and humanitarian aid organisations and who are interested in conflict prevention.

Development Cooperation Committee of the Student Union of the University of Helsinki The Development Cooperation Committee is a subordinate to the Executive Board of the Student Union of the University of Helsinki and it supervises the development cooperation projects of the Student Union, maintains the debate on development cooperation and developing countries and organises different events related to development, developing countries and development work.

The web site collects the material of news campaigns and activities of over 30 Finnish organisations and societies as well as maintains a database of the material they issue in their home pages. Maailma.net is a part of the international network of the OneWorld centres.

MONIKA- Multicultural Women’s Association in Finland The objective of MONIKA is to promote the position of women immigrants in Finland.

Suomen Rauhanliitto – UN Association Rauhanliitto is an umbrella organisation for over ten Finnish peace organisations. Rauhanliitto is an expert on security and peace policy issues and aims to influence decision-making already in the preparation phase. Security policy in Finland and in the EU, civilian crisis management and prevention of conflicts, human security and disarmament are the main themes of the influencing of the association.

The Refugee Advice Centre The Refugee Advice Centre provides legal aid and advice to asylum seekers, refugees and other foreigners in Finland. The Refugee Advice Centre also works for improving the position of asylum seekers, refugees and other foreigners in Finland and follows the development of the EU asylum and immigration policy.

Unioni, The League of Finnish Feminists Unioni, The League of Finnish Feminists is a feminist women organisation of which the objective is improving the women’s position in society and abolition of the discrimination based on sex. Women’s financial independence, societal influence and physical integrity are Unioni’s objectives that are pursued by pointing out the gender system and practices that discriminate women.

World Federation of the Deaf The organisations of the deaf have their own international federation World Federation of the Deaf, which has as members the deaf organisations of 127 countries. The World Federation of the Deaf represents its members in UN cooperation where it has an official status. The activities of the World Federation of the Deaf set great store by improving the situation of the deaf in developing countries. The key fields of activities are strengthening the deaf’s own organisations, sign language and teaching and informing the deaf.

Youth Academy Youth Academy is a cooperation organisation of the major youth and sports organisations, which offer the youth possibilities to, uncompelled activities with other youths and increase the appreciation of hobbies and learning new skills. The Youth Academy supports young people and adults working with them, both in voluntary free time activities and in school environment.
