CONCORD CONCORD is a European confederation for over 1600 development NGOs of which the objective is to enhance the impact of European NGDOs vis-à-vis the European Institutions by combining expertise and accountability. KEHYS coordinates the participation of Finnish organisations in CONCORD’s working groups and acts as an information channel between CONCORD and national level.

Development Policy Committee The Development Policy Committee is appointed by the Government. It steers Finnish development policy work, evaluates the quality and effectiveness of development policy and monitors levels of public funding for development aid. In addition, the Committee promotes discussion on global development issues and strengthens the role civil society and the private sector in development policy. The committee advances also the coherence of Finnish development policy and ensures that the Finnish development policy is in accordance with the UN Millennium Development Goals.

Ministry for Foreign Affairs

The Development Policy Committee of the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs The Development Policy Committee of the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs is responsible of Finnish development policy which is a part Finnish foreign policy. The Committee is also in charge of the planning, monitoring and quality control of development cooperation as well as the harmonisation of development policy in the Ministry. Development cooperation is implemented in regional and global departments.

Development Policy Information Unit Development Policy Information Unit is a part of the Department for Communication and Culture of the Ministry.

Evert Vermeer Foundation Evert Vermeer Foundation is an independent non-profit organisation that defends the interests of developing countries. EVF pays attention to international cooperation and durable relieving of poverty and it aims to influence political decision-making at local, national and European level by organising campaigns, discussions and conferences.
